There are many ways to go about getting an auto insurance quote.  The first method that comes to mind for most people is to open up the Yellow pages and call around to different agencies.  However there are other methods that are much quicker and easier and will result in a more informed overall decision.

The internet has become a great tool for a great many things, including shopping online for an auto insurance policy.  Many websites will now do the searching and shopping for you.  You just need to provide some simple information, such as your driving history, type of vehicle, and the type of coverage you are looking for, and the website will do the rest.  These services will search online databases and find the best companies to suit your insurance needs - often providing links to the various companies.

Using an online insurance search will often provide you with an instant quote in some cases.  It is best to provide as much info as possible if you are going to go the online route.  Providing the most accurate information will ensure you the most accurate rate and can also help get you discounts - including safe driver, honor student, or safe vehicle discounts.  The savings will add up inm a hurry.

The easiest way to get the best possible rate is to purchase only the coverage that you need.  For example, if you have a roadside assistance plan, then don't get one through your insurance company.  For older vehicles that have lost value, you may want to consider choosing the minimum amount of liability that is required in your state.

Making Money Using Fiverr

Fiverr.com is a new website that allows anyone to post a job or task that they will complete for $5.  (technically $4 because Fiverr takes $1 from each transaction)

I've personally found Fiverr to be a great asset in promoting some of my various websites.  For example I paid for a gig that had my site backlink blasted to thousands of blog comments using Xrumer.  I'm still in the process of seeing how well it turns out for me, but I did receive a detailed report including all of the links.  There are many other Fiverr gigs that offer to create back links, comment posts, tweets, become fans of your facebook page, etc.  You can also find someone willing to write website content for $5.  The list is pretty much endless...  Just be careful of who you choose.  Fiverr members can leave feedback, so look for users with a good feedback rating.

On the flip side, you can make a killing on Fiverr by choosing a successful gig and making money on it.  I have made money on Fiverr by tweeting for other people (I paid another Fiverr member to build up my twitter following), by posting links on my websites, and for creating a road trip.  Anything that you can do for someone else that you feel has value, you can probably find a buyer.  Just be careful that you aren't spending hours performing the job, else it will not be worth your efforts for $4 !  Be creative.  Try to find out what others are doing to make money and then offer more or better service, or add a twist to what the are doing.  Then use facebook, blogs, and twitter to advertise your gig.   Good luck!
